Software written and designed by Builders for Builders Check our new Roofing app for Mac £1.99 Back to Home Screen View in App Store £1.99 House Energy is an app for calculating the electricity running costs of every household appliance individually and with a total showing unit cost and standing charge cost for 1 month, Simply select your appliance in the list and enter the Wattage and the amount of time for 1 use, then the number of uses per week to be given the cost for 1 use or 1 week or 1 month. If you do not require the use of fridges or freezers simply enter zero in the wattage size box. You enter the unit rates as per your supplier in the 3 boxes at the top for Unit, Off peak and Standing charge. The section Charger for E vehicle deals with costs of charging EV and Plug-in Hybrid vehicles and compares the cost in relation to Petrol or Diesel and the difference with Public chargers versus Home charging. Enter the unit rates for either slow, fast, rapid or ultra rapid. The two sections for Gas usage cover Custom built properties or properties Built by Year, Custom built allows you to set amounts for ventilation, thermal bridge, glazing, roof, wall and floor insulation U-values, when all settings are complete tap on Gas Results top right and be presented with a list of all areas in UK where you can set the Base temperature which is typically 3.5 degrees below the desired temperature to allow for internal heat gains from appliances and people in the property. Results are calculated using the 5 year average for degree days for the area you have selected, and do NOT include EV charge costs.
